Discover the beauty of weaving Krokbragd during an intensive 5 day course with UK weaver Angie Parker.
Explore fearless colour and pattern whilst mastering the principles of this 3 shaft traditional Scandinavian rug technique.
Amsterdam:13-17 August
Angie will show you how she embraces bold clashing colours in her designs and will show you ways to be more confident with colour in your weaving.
As well as teaching the warping, threading and weaving methods, she will help you to achieve a good selvedge so that you can create rugs and furnishings to be proud of.
Bring your enthusiasm and sense of humour for a creative and fun week of learning.

weave on a large loom


In the beginner's course you will learn how to put the warp on the loom, and how to weave on a large loom. You'll learn how to develop patterns, how to design, and how to notate these. Also there will be time to discuss materials. Amsterdam: 2-6 July

weaving carpets


25 t/m 29 June in Rotterdam
Lotte Dalgaard from Denmark is specialised in weaving carpets. She will visit Rotterdam to teach these techniques.

The secret of the keskusta technique


16 t/m 20 July in Amsterdam and 23 t/m 30 July in Rotterdam
Silja Eggenschwiler from Switzerland is working many years together with Sytze Roos on the keskusta technique. This summercourse will be the first time for them to reveal this technique.

computer-aided weaving

9 t/m 13 July in Amsterdam
Sytze Roos and 3 engineers have developped their own computer-aided loom. With this loom it is possible to make new patterns. The computer-loom eanbles communication between the loom, the computer and the weaver. With this technique individuel patterns appear.


PRACTICAL
All courses last for 5 days, from Monday until Friday
and from 9.00 until 17.00.
De kosten zijn 350,- plus btw en materiaal. The costs amount to € 400,- incl. VAT, excl. materials.
The courses will take place in Amsterdam and/or Rotterdam.
